On Saturday, April 19th over 40 Lancaster area children enjoyed a fun-filled morning of building and flying paper airplanes at the Lancaster Science Factory on New Holland Ave. in Lancaster. During this first –ever competition, contestants had the opportunity to construct and ‘test fly’ several airplanes of their own design. The challenge continued as the group competed against each other with one of their creations. Three age groups were involved in the contest with trophies and gift card prizes awarded in categories of Distance, Time Aloft and Design Creativity. The kids, their supporters and fans, and the LSF volunteer staff all had a great time and look forward to future Science Factory-sponsored physical science-themed contests throughout the year. Visit the Lancaster Science Factory Website for future contest information.
